At the heart of DISCLOSURE is a willingness to ask tough questions about how television shows and movies shape our individual and collective identities.
Examining media’s power to affect how we view ourselves and each other is important work that often goes unnoticed. Yet each day, educators across disciplines empower their students to think critically about the media content we collectively consume. What assumptions are being made? What stereotypes do representations enforce? What barriers can be broken? These questions are worthy and are, in part, what helped inspire the making of DISCLOSURE.
